Anise Myrtle has a beautiful subtle pernot/licorice flavor and fragrance, with a hint of menthol and eucalyptus.
Anise Myrtle is a rich source of anti-oxidants (higher than blueberries). It is high in vitamin C, E, folate, lutein, zinc, calcium and magnesium and chlorophyll a and b. Traditionally used for treatment of digestive issues, including reflux, hiccups and intestinal issues. It has high antifungal and antimicrobial properties.
Anise Myrtle is versatile - as a tea, hot or cold; as a taste lift in alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages; in baking and cooking.

For tissane/tea, we recommend our tea cut Anise Myrtle Tisane. Excellent in sauces and as a flavoring on fish and chicken.
